Be Grateful!

This September, I’m taking notes from Kierra Sheard’s song ‘Grateful’ which states;

“And it’s simple
It ain’t even really that deep
I’m just grateful
Don’t make it harder than it needs to be
Be grateful”

Kierra (2020) ‘grateful’ LYRICS

By the way if you haven’t already go check out my review of her Kierra (2020) album!

It’s in the simple things that we show gratitude. It isn’t until something grand happens that we can be thankful to God for life. And even when grand things happen we must always ascribe all glory back to God!

For me and my household, I am grateful to God to see the last quarter of the year, grateful for life, grateful for health, grateful for family, friends and community! Grateful for social media and the opportunities created through connecting through social media and the power of networking.

A Heart of Gratitude

Grateful to ALL the amazing guest writers that shared their thoughts in the Let’s Talk About It series (If you haven’t yet go check out the various topics ranging from Social issues, Single life, Manhood, Christian creativity, Adulting!). Don’t forget to check out the resources they shared and also see what they are up to in their different platforms!

If you need a greater initiative to be thankful going into the rest of this year, here are some verses to help sensitize the spirit 🙂

“Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.”

PSALMS 90:12

For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

ZEPHANIAH 3:17

“With joy you will drink deeply from the fountain of salvation!”

ISAIAH 12:3

“I remember the days of old. I ponder all your great works and think about what you have done.”

PSALMS 143:5

Monday 21st September 2020 is World Gratitude Day and a few things you could do to celebrate that day is ponder on the verses listed or more, keep a gratitude journal from now till then (and beyond should you wish!), give back to your community or spend time with family and friends in a grateful state.

  1. I pray that God will give each and everyone of us a heart of gratitude. To be able to give thanks to God for what He has done for us and in our lives, families, communities and in our various churches. May the name of the Lord be glorified. May He see us through the month of September in Jesus mighty name amen
